Find answers about trials, environments, enrolment and participation. If you need help with your child’s situation, our team is here.
Does my child need football experience?+
Every child starts somewhere. Afterschool offers an accessible introduction, and Foundation is our main open development environment with appropriate group placement. Performance requires assessment or invitation. Share your child’s age and experience so we can recommend a suitable group.
How does the free trial work?+
New players may access one complimentary trial, subject to space and the program’s entry requirements. Enquire with your child’s age, football experience and preferred location. Our team will confirm a suitable session and arrival details before you attend.
What should my child wear and bring?+
Afterschool players may wear school PE or sports uniform. Advance jersey, shorts and socks are compulsory for enrolled Foundation and Performance players; pricing and ordering details follow enrolment. Ask our team what to wear for the trial and which footwear is suitable for your venue. Bring water and tell us about relevant medical or support needs.
How do you support child safety?+
Our coach standards put children’s safety and wellbeing first, with respectful coaching, professional boundaries, appropriate supervision, required clearances, privacy and incident reporting. Players should feel safe to learn and make mistakes. Contact Advance Football directly with any welfare concern or to request the full policy.
Can Advance complement club football?+
Yes. Advance focuses on the individual player within a suitable group environment. Technique, 1v1 ability, decision-making and execution under pressure can complement the team training and match experience a player receives at their club. We help families find an appropriate environment for their child’s stage and readiness. Performance is by assessment or invitation.
Can my child move between programs?+
Yes, where another environment offers a suitable challenge. Coaches consider technical, game, training, character and commitment readiness. Progression is individual and is not automatic after a set period. Each player has equal value, whichever group they train in.
What if we miss a session?+
A suitable make-up may be offered within the same program environment if space is available. Credits are not automatic; relevant circumstances such as illness or injury can be considered. Contact our team to discuss your situation.
When do sessions run, and who supervises?+
Weekly programs generally run across four school-term-aligned periods, with approximately 8–12 sessions per period. Dates differ by location. Confirm your timetable before enrolling. Parents are responsible before and after the scheduled session, and prompt collection is required. School escort arrangements for Afterschool children aged 5–7 are confirmed directly with families where applicable.
